Washington, D.C. Visit

Thrive Charter School’s Black Student Union embarked on an enriching educational trip to Washington, D.C., where the members visited the National Museum of African American History and Culture. This experience provided students with a powerful opportunity to engage with the depth and richness of African American history, culture, and contributions.
Throughout the visit, students explored thought-provoking exhibits that highlighted pivotal moments in history, from the struggles and resilience of the past to the achievements and influence of African Americans today. The trip fostered meaningful reflection, encouraged thoughtful discussion, and deepened students’ understanding of identity, history, and social justice.
Experiences like this align with Thrive’s commitment to providing immersive, culturally responsive learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. By connecting students with significant historical institutions, we continue transforming tomorrow together through education, awareness, and empowerment.
