Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony (Oct. 9, 2024)

HAMILTON, N.J.-- State and local officials joined students, parents, and administrators in a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, officially opening the Thrive Charter School.


Additionally, Head of School Dr. Lauren Brazil announced that Thrive students and athletics teams have a new moniker.


“After a community vote that included all of our students, parents, and faculty, we will proudly call ourselves the Thrive Titans,”  Brazil said.


In competitive high school sports, Thrive will offer boys’ and girls’ soccer, boys’ and girls’ basketball, baseball, girls’ tennis, and boys’ and girls’ indoor and outdoor track & field. The Titans are members of the Burlington County Scholastic League (BCSL).


School History

The school buildings and lands, located on Leonard Avenue near Kuser Farm Park, opened in 1962.


1962 to 1979: St. Anthony High School


1979 to 2005:  McCorristin High School


2005 to 2021: Trenton Catholic Academy


2021 to 2024:  Trenton Catholic Preparatory Academy


2024 to present:  Thrive Charter School


Sept. 3, 2024:  Thrive Charter School opened for the 2024-25 academic year (kindergarten to 12).


Oct. 16, 2024:  Official ribbon-cutting ceremony for Thrive Charter School with state and local officials.
